To be eligible for the OCES/DGFS-2026 programme, candidates must meet the following criteria:
* Specified B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc.(Engineering)/5-year Integrated M.Tech. degrees in approved engineering disciplines
* Minimum 60% aggregate marks and other academic requirements detailed in the Eligibility Criteria section for science disciplines
Additionally, candidates should be a citizen of India and must have completed their qualifying degree within the specified timeframe.
To apply for the OCES/DGFS-2026 programme, follow these steps:

* Submit an online application by following the instructions provided there
* Carefully read the Information Brochure and FAQs available on the online application portal before filling the online application form
* Ensure that all academic requirements for award of qualifying degree are completed before 31st July 2026
The following dates are important to note:

* Last date for online application: 21st January 2026
* Correction window for online application: 7th February – 14th February 2026
* Allocation of online exam venue and generation of hall ticket/admit card: 15th February – 20th February 2026

* Candidates to upload their GATE-2026 score: 26th March – 2nd April 2026
The selection process for the OCES/DGFS-2026 programme consists of two steps:
1. Screening of candidates through an online screening examination in specified engineering and science disciplines
2. Selection Interview conducted through GATE-2024, GATE-2025 or GATE-2026 scores in relevant GATE subjects
Final selection is solely based on performance in the Selection Interview, subject to medical fitness as determined by DAE doctors.
Selected candidates are required to execute an agreement and a personal indemnity bond to serve the Department of Atomic Energy for at least three years after completion of training, covering stipend, book allowance, tuition fees, and related grants as applicable.
The DAE strives to maintain gender balance and encourages women candidates to apply for OCES/DGFS-2026 programmes. Records of applicants for BARC Training Schools OCES/DGFS-2026 programme will not be preserved beyond four months from the date of publication of the final selection result.
In all matters concerning OCES/DGFS-2026 recruitment, decisions of the competent authority in BARC, Mumbai are final and binding; disputes are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Mumbai, India.
