The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), a national-level board of education in India for public and private schools, is recruiting candidates for various posts. Eligibility Criteria

The following are the eligibility criteria for each post:

• Assistant Secretary: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University/ Institution.
• Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Academics): Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized University/ Institute with provision of applicable concession to the respective categories.
• Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Training): Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized University/ Institute with provision of applicable concession to the respective categories.
• Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Skill Education): Post Graduate Degree in any discipline with 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognized University/ Institute with provision of applicable concession to the respective categories.
• Accounts Officer: Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University/ Institution with Economics/ Commerce/ Accounts/ Finance/ Business Studies/ Cost Accounting as one of the subject. OR Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University/Institution and having SAS/JAO(C) examination conducted by any Account/Audit Services/Department of the Central/State Govt. OR Post Graduate of a recognized University/Institution with Economics/ Commerce / Accounts/ Finance/ Business Studies/ Cost Accounting as one of the subject. OR M.B.A. (Finance)/Chartered Accountant/ICWA
• Superintendent: Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
• Junior Translation Officer: Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in Hindi with English as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree Level. OR Master’s Degree of a Recognized University in English with Hindi as a compulsory or elective subject or as the medium of examination at the Degree Level.
• Junior Accountant: 12th Class from a recognized Board/ University/ Institution with Accountancy/ Business Studies/ Economics/ Commerce/ Entrepreneurship/ Finance/ Business Administration/ Taxation/ Cost Accounting as one of the subject. AND A typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on Computer.
• Junior Assistant: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.

Application Process

The application process for CBSE Recruitment 2025 is as follows:

• Application Fee: The application fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates is ₹ 250, while for Unreserved/OBC/EWS candidates, it is ₹ 1750. For Board’s Regular Employee(s), there is no fee.
• Online Application: Candidates can apply online through the official CBSE recruitment portal (link will be activated on 02-12-2025). No other mode of application (post/hand/mail) will be accepted.
• Document Verification & Medical Examination: Selected candidates will undergo document verification and medical examination as part of the selection process.

Selection Process

The selection process for CBSE Recruitment 2025 includes:

• All India Competitive Examination (CBSE DRQ 2026): Candidates will be selected through an All India Competitive Examination conducted by CBSE.
• Skill Test/Interview: Selected candidates will undergo a Skill Test/Interview, if applicable.

Age Limit and Pay Scale

The age limit and pay scale for each post are as follows:

• Assistant Secretary: Maximum 35 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-10 (7th CPC)
• Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Academics): Maximum 30 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-10 (7th CPC)
• Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Training): Maximum 30 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-10 (7th CPC)
• Assistant Professor & Assistant Director (Skill Education): Maximum 30 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-10 (7th CPC)
• Accounts Officer: Maximum 35 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-10 (7th CPC)
• Superintendent: Maximum 30 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-6
• Junior Translation Officer: Maximum 30 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-6
• Junior Accountant: Maximum 27 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-2
• Junior Assistant: Maximum 27 years (as on 22-12-2025), Level-2

Where Will the Selected Candidates Be Posted?

The selected candidates will be posted anywhere in India at any office of CBSE (Headquarters, Regional Offices, CoE, etc.).
