Eligibility Criteria

  • Graduation/Opening Graduation completed from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in either Graduation or Opening Graduation (or its equivalent) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a National Council for Teacher Suitability recognized organization, OR
  • 4-year degree of B.A. Ed/B.Sc. Ed. from any National Council for Teacher Qualification recognized institution.
  • Age Limit:
  • Secondary: 21 to 40 years
  • Higher Secondary: Upper age limit with relaxation for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe candidates – 5 years, Other Backward Classes candidates – 3 years, Physically Handicapped Candidates – 8 years.

Applicants willing to submit for Assistant Teachers in classes IX & X and classes XI & XII must have to provide their applications online at the official website of West Bengal School Service Commission (WBSSC).

Application Process

The dates for registering for WB SLST 2025 Examination have been scheduled from 16th June 2025 (5 pm) to 14th July 2025 (5 pm). Applicants must remunerate the submission fees for evaluation (excluding Bank/Other payment-related charges, where applicable).

  • General & OBC applicants: Rs. 500
  • SC/ST/PH individuals: Rs. 200

Salary

  • Classes IX-X, Secondary Level: Basic Gross Pay Rs. 33,400
